Packing for a Lifestyle Weekend – Our Essentials List - Peach Secrets

What to Pack for a Lifestyle Weekend: A Swingers’ Party Packing Guide

A lifestyle weekend is part getaway, part social occasion, and an opportunity to dress up and enjoy a different atmosphere. Whether you are attending a hotel takeover, a private house party or a club event, thoughtful packing lets you spend less time searching your suitcase and more time enjoying the weekend.

For a two- or three-day stay, plan around the actual schedule: travelling, daytime socialising, evening events and the trip home. Bring what helps you feel comfortable and prepared. You can enjoy a lifestyle event for the conversation, music and dancing; taking part in intimate activities is always optional.

1. Check the event details before you pack

A hotel takeover and an evening at a club may have very different requirements. Read the host's information rather than assuming that every lifestyle event works the same way.

  • Entry requirements: Check identification, tickets, membership details and any registration requirements.
  • Dress codes and themes: Look for rules for arrival, dining, themed evenings and designated event areas.
  • Facilities: Find out whether towels, lockers, changing rooms, a pool or a hot tub are available.
  • What is permitted: Check policies on bags, outside drinks, food, accessories, photography and phone use.
  • Accommodation: Confirm check-in and check-out times, parking and whether your room is on the event premises.

Save the address, confirmation details and host contact information somewhere you can access easily. If an instruction is unclear, asking before the weekend is easier than discovering a restriction at the door.

2. Plan outfits by occasion, not by suitcase space

Start with a small outfit plan: Friday arrival and mingle, Saturday daytime, Saturday evening, and Sunday departure. Add or remove an outfit to match the schedule. A three-day weekend rarely needs an entirely new wardrobe for every hour.

Daytime and downtime

Pack comfortable clothing for breakfast, conversation, lounging and any outings. Choose breathable layers appropriate to the season rather than assuming the venue will be hot. Include underwear, sleepwear and a light cardigan or wrap for air-conditioned spaces.

If there is a pool or hot tub you plan to use, add swimwear and a separate bag for damp items. Check whether cover-ups and footwear are required between your room and the facilities.

Evening and themed events

Choose one main look for each evening: a dress, lingerie set, bodystocking, clubwear or another outfit that suits both the event and your comfort level. A theme is a useful starting point, but it does not require you to wear something that leaves you distracted or uncomfortable.

Try each complete outfit at home with the shoes and accessories you intend to wear. Sit down, walk and move around. Check whether you need particular underwear, hosiery or an extra layer. For anyone packing with a partner, both people's outfits deserve the same planning, including any required shirts, trousers or themed accessories.

Bring one simple backup look. A comfortable alternative is more useful than several ambitious outfits you have never tried on.

3. Give your shoes as much thought as your outfit

Your favourite heels may look perfect but feel very different after several hours of standing or dancing. Bring a pair you already know you can wear comfortably, plus flats or another practical alternative.

Pack suitable shoes for travelling and daytime activities. Shower or pool footwear may also be useful if those facilities are part of the weekend. Keep shoes in separate bags so they do not catch on delicate lingerie.

4. Pack a robe, cover-up and small event bag

A robe or easy cover-up can be one of the most useful things in your suitcase. It gives you an extra layer while getting ready or moving through areas where the dress code permits it. Do not assume lingerie or a robe is appropriate in ordinary hotel corridors, restaurants or other public spaces.

A small bag or pouch can hold a room key, identification, any required membership card and other permitted essentials. Choose something manageable rather than carrying your whole weekend bag through the event.

A plain zip pouch can keep personal items organised and discreet. Use a lockable case if you prefer, while remembering that it does not replace sensible care of valuables.

5. Bring the toiletries you actually use

Pack your usual toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, skincare, hair products, grooming items and any makeup you want. A spare hair tie, travel brush and a few familiar touch-up products are often more useful than a large beauty kit.

  • Prescription medication and any personal health supplies you need.
  • Contact lens supplies or glasses, if applicable.
  • Menstrual products and spare underwear.
  • Personal towels if required by the host.
  • A small laundry bag for worn clothing.

If you bring wipes, use products intended for external skin and follow their instructions. They are a convenience item, not a replacement for washing or a way to prevent sexually transmitted infections. Avoid trying unfamiliar fragranced products on sensitive skin just before a weekend away.

Breath mints, earplugs and an eye mask can also earn their place in a small bag—particularly if you want a good night's sleep after a late evening.

6. Keep intimate essentials personal and optional

If intimate activities are part of what you may choose to do, bring your own preferred supplies rather than assuming a host or another guest will have exactly what suits you.

Consider condoms or other barriers appropriate to your plans, and a lubricant you already find comfortable. Check packaging, expiry dates and storage instructions. With latex condoms, use a compatible water- or silicone-based lubricant; oil-based products can weaken latex. Check toy compatibility separately, since a lubricant suitable for a condom is not automatically suitable for every toy.

Condoms and other barriers can reduce risk, but they do not eliminate every STI risk. Packing supplies does not replace a conversation about protection and boundaries.

If you bring a toy, choose something familiar, permitted by the venue and straightforward to clean according to its manufacturer's instructions. Charge it beforehand, use its travel lock if available, and pack the correct cable. Keep clean items protected and bring a separate washable pouch for used items awaiting cleaning.

A weekend party is not a reason to bring unfamiliar restraint equipment or an entire accessory collection. Any item you use should be understood by everyone involved, with clear permission and an appropriate plan for removal. If you are flying, check current airline and airport rules for liquids, batteries and accessories before departure.

7. Make privacy part of your packing plan

A charged phone and a power bank can be helpful for travel, but event photography rules may be strict. Check the policy and avoid recording other guests or sharing identifying details without their explicit permission.

Decide where your phone and valuables will stay during the event. Carry only what you need, use the storage facilities available, and leave irreplaceable jewellery at home if you do not need it.

Privacy also applies after the weekend. A group photo, a tagged post or a description of another guest can disclose more than you intend. Discuss any sharing before it happens.

8. Prepare for comfort, rest and getting home

Pack a refillable water bottle and a few familiar snacks if the venue allows them. Leave time for meals and rest instead of treating every scheduled activity as compulsory.

Agree on transport, meeting points and how you will reconnect if attending different activities. Plan a way home that does not depend on driving after drinking. Keep some flexibility in the schedule if either person wants an early night or a change of plan.

Before travelling, talk about expectations: what you are looking forward to, what is off limits, and how you will signal that you want a private check-in or to leave. You can change your mind during the weekend. Nobody owes participation because tickets, an outfit or accommodation have already been paid for.

A simple two-night lifestyle weekend packing checklist

  • Daywear: Comfortable outfits for two or three days, with layers for the weather.
  • Eveningwear: One look for each evening, plus one easy backup.
  • Personal clothing: Underwear, sleepwear, hosiery if wanted, and a robe or cover-up.
  • Footwear: Event shoes and a comfortable alternative; pool footwear if needed.
  • Toiletries: Your usual care products, medication and personal health supplies.
  • Optional facilities: Swimwear, towel if required, and a bag for damp items.
  • Optional intimate items: Appropriate barriers, compatible lubricant, familiar permitted accessories and their care supplies.
  • Organisation: Small event pouch, shoe bags and a laundry bag.
  • Rest: Earplugs, an eye mask and a comfortable outfit for the trip home.

Pack for the weekend you want

The best-packed suitcase reflects your plans and your comfort—not someone else's idea of how a lifestyle weekend should look. A few well-chosen outfits, everyday essentials and clear conversations can do more for your confidence than an overflowing bag.
