đŸ§” Material Guide: Fabrics, Safety & Care

At Peach Secrets, we choose materials for beauty, comfort, and longevity. This guide shares general best practices and highlights the specific fabrics most common in our collection.

Our Main Fabric (Peach Secrets)

Most Peach Secrets lingerie is crafted from a premium blend of 95% nylon and 5% spandex (elastane). This pairing offers silky softness, a beautiful drape, and flexible stretch that flatters a wide range of body shapes—ideal for our One Size Fits Most and Plus Size offerings.

  • Nylon: smooth handfeel, lightweight, rich color, and resilient to everyday wear.
  • Spandex: gentle stretch with excellent snap-back for comfort and contouring.

Care: Hand wash in cool water with gentle detergent; if using a machine, place in a mesh bag, choose the delicate cycle, and use cold water. Do not bleach or use fabric softener. Do not tumble dry—press in a towel, then lay flat or hang to air dry away from heat and sunlight.

Other Lingerie Fabrics

While nylon/spandex is our core blend, you may also encounter these fabrics across lingerie in the market:

  • Lace & Mesh: Elegant and delicate; best hand-washed in cool water. Avoid snagging with jewelry or rough surfaces.
  • Satin & Silk Blends: Smooth, luxurious drape; avoid wringing, press in a towel, and air dry flat. Low-heat iron only with a pressing cloth if necessary.
  • Cotton: Breathable and easy-care; machine wash on gentle in cold water, air dry for longevity.
  • Leather / Faux Leather: Wipe clean with a damp cloth; avoid soaking. Use leather conditioner (for genuine leather) sparingly.
  • PVC & Vinyl: Spot clean only; store flat to prevent creases and stickiness.

Sexy Toy Materials & Safety

Body-safe materials are designed to be non-porous, easy to clean, and long-lasting when cared for properly.

  • Silicone: Body-safe and hypoallergenic; clean with mild soap and warm water or a toy cleaner. Avoid silicone-based lubricants on silicone toys to prevent surface degradation.
  • ABS Plastic: Durable and smooth; wipe with toy cleaner or mild soap and water.
  • Glass (borosilicate): Non-porous, temperature-play friendly; wash with warm soapy water; check for chips before each use.
  • Stainless Steel: Non-porous and weighty; wash thoroughly and dry fully before storing.

Lubricants: Water-based lubes are universally compatible. Oil-based lubes may stain fabrics and aren’t condom-friendly.

Universal Storage Tips

  • Keep lingerie away from direct sunlight and rough surfaces to prevent fading and snags.
  • Stack padded/underwire bras rather than folding cups to maintain shape.
  • Store toys separately in fabric pouches to prevent material reactions and for discreet organization.
  • Allow items to fully air dry before storing to preserve elastic and avoid odor or mildew.

Care At A Glance

  • Wash: Hand wash cool with gentle detergent; if machine washing, use a mesh bag, delicate cycle, cold water.
  • Avoid: Bleach, fabric softener, wringing, and tumble drying (heat degrades elastane).
  • Dry: Press in a towel; lay flat or hang to air dry away from heat/sun.
  • Before Wear: Apply lotions/perfumes first and let absorb to minimize staining or fiber breakdown.

FAQ

Why no fabric softener? Softeners and bleach weaken elastic fibers, reducing stretch recovery and lifespan.

Can I iron lingerie? We generally recommend not ironing. If necessary, use the lowest setting with a pressing cloth—no steam.

Is nylon breathable? Nylon is moderately breathable. For comfort, avoid heavy layering and allow items to fully dry between wears.
